College of Missouri Extension is internet hosting two feedlot faculties and a cattle feeder tour this summer time to show producers the right way to feed out their cattle as a substitute of transport them out of state.

A second feedlot faculty will likely be held in Kirksville on Aug. 29-30 and will likely be led by Zac Erwin, MU Extension livestock area specialist.
The Missouri Division of Agriculture’s Missouri Agricultural and Small Enterprise Improvement Authority has offered grant funding to permit MU Extension to carry extra feedlot faculties.
“MU Extension has the objective of doubling the financial affect of agriculture in Missouri by 2030,” Bailey stated. “At present, 1.4 million out of 1.7 million beef calves raised in Missouri are harvested out of state.
